As Black women, we’re often conditioned to believe that our worth is tied to how much we can carry. Work, family, friendships, responsibilities—they all pile onto our plates until they’re overflowing. But let me ask you this: What’s on your plate, sis?

Is it full of things that nourish and fulfill you? Or are you carrying too much?

Sometimes, it’s okay to step back and reassess. Clearing space for yourself isn’t selfish; it’s survival. Maybe it’s time to take a walk, say “no” to another obligation, or simply sit still and breathe. At BWA, we create spaces where you can pause, reset, and pour into yourself without guilt.
