Hiking, for us, is more than a physical activity—it’s a declaration of self-care, a form of rebellion, and an act of healing.
As Black women, we’re often expected to be everything for everyone. But out on the trail, we reclaim something precious: ourselves. Hiking allows us to breathe deeply, clear our minds, and connect with nature in ways that feel grounding and transformative.
Together, we’ve climbed hills and mountains, but more importantly, we’ve broken through barriers of isolation and burnout. When we hike, we remind each other of our strength and resilience. We don’t just move forward physically—we grow emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, let the trail guide you back to yourself. BWA hikes are open to all Black women seeking community, health, and healing. We’d love for you to join us on the journey.
